Google just announced their new Music Beta web application that basically allows you to upload music and play it from your browser or android phone / tablet device over THE CLOUD (I hate saying that). I highly doubt this will happen, but if Apple allows the service on the iPhone, I might have to forget about Grooveshark. *gasp*.
I wish I lived in New Orleans. I visited twice in the past few years and it was a positive culture shock for me the first time through. The city was alive. Flowing with energy and merriment. There was an invisible presence in the air that seemed to bring everyone together. As I roamed the streets, brass music flowed freely from the ends of any given city block, serving as the voice of the city. That music was brass band music.
An upcoming documentary (in development) titled ‘Brass Roots: The Untold History of New Orleans Brass Bands‘ focuses on the history of New Orleans brass band music, and it looks terrific. Check out the trailer below. Details follow in the full post.
This kid knows when there is a party being had. He has that 6th sense that allows you to hear bass thuds in your sleep. Too bad his brother doesn’t know what’s up. Ten bucks says he wakes up with a curly mustache markered on his face.
“When did Troma films start producing work safety videos?” That is the question you might ask yourself after watching the video below. The numerous gore effects are so poorly executed that it reaches that level of Troma D-quality movie making.
I just wish the terrible song attached to the video was replaced by some sort of internet remix. I feel like I need to be sitting in a dark basement strung out just listening to it.
I am downloading this track as I type. It turns out the original Power Rangers show opening theme song can be pretty badass when remixed and rapped over. Don’t believe me? Play the video below and see for yourself!
