Tekken: Blood Vengeance Movie Trailer

Oh snap! A new Tekken movie (based off the popular Tekken video game franchise) is coming out and it actually looks good! Granted, it’s not live action and looks as silly as the video games do, but that is what I really want from a Tekken movie. Awesome action, ridiculous plot lines, and flying pandas…

3 New ‘X-Men: First Class’ Character Trailers

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved all the X-Men: First Class trailers up to this point. But they all focused on Magneto and Professor Xavier. And with a slew of new mutants appearing in X-Men: First Class, I have been yearning to see more of their faces in the trailers rather than Magneto or Professor X.

So it makes me happy to see these three new character centric trailers released by Fox today, showcasing just how badass the first class is. I hope more follow shortly.

Conan The Barbarian Trailer

Here it is. The first official theatrical trailer for Conan The Barbarian starring Jason Momoa. After watching the trailer, all I have to say is that it looks like a fun action flick, but what exactly is it about? There is so much action and a lot of intense close up shots of the main characters, but I don’t have a clue what the plot is. It feels more like a glorified YouTube fan montage without the Linkin Park music.

Yeah, in the end it all comes down to some bad dudes vs Conan, but movie trailers usually give us a slight idea of the overall conflict at hand. So this trailer winds up feeling really shallow when all we get to see is a barrage of action sequences.

New Green Lantern Trailer Gives Me The Chills

This is it. This is the trailer I have been waiting to see for the upcoming Green Lantern movie. All the previous trailers showcased some cool special effects and very little plot aside from Hal Jordan’s induction into the green lantern corps. This latest trailer fluidly pieces together the origin story along with the Parallax story arc. We also get to see some new footage of Hal training to be a Green Lantern with Sinestro and Kilowog. It all looks like a comic nerd’s dream come true. GET HYPED!

Fast Five’s The Rock Totally Looks Like Steve Austin

I keep seeing online ads for this weekend’s release of Fast Five. And every time I see these ads I can’t help but think The Rock looks a lot like one of his former co-workers. No? Yes?

Transformers: Dark of the Moon Theatrical Trailer

This first full length trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon looks insane! However, the 2nd movie had an amazing trailer too, but the movie itself turned out to be a disappointment for most. So I am hoping Transformers: Dark of the Moon is able to redeem the movie franchise and blow us all away like this trailer does.

The Devil’s Double Movie Trailer

The trailer for ‘The Devil’s Double’ seemed to just pop up randomly online. I haven’t heard anything about the film prior to the trailer’s release. Now a film I never heard of until yesterday is at the top of my “MUST SEE movies of 2011″ list. The film chronicles the true story of Iraqi Latif Yahia as he is forced to work as Uday Hussein’s body double. Check out the trailer below.

The Onion Interviews 5-Year-Old Screenwriter Of ‘Fast Five’

I wanted to post this a few days ago but I was unable to access the site due to our host migration. So I am sorry if this is a bit late, but here it is regardless, in case some of you have yet to see it.

Fast Five looks like the perfect mindless popcorn summer blockbuster, and I can’t wait to see it. It’s so over the top! I don’t think I have ever been excited to see a Fast & The Furious movie until now. Check out the trailer below.

Brass Roots: The Untold History of New Orleans Brass Bands

I wish I lived in New Orleans. I visited twice in the past few years and it was a positive culture shock for me the first time through. The city was alive. Flowing with energy and merriment. There was an invisible presence in the air that seemed to bring everyone together. As I roamed the streets, brass music flowed freely from the ends of any given city block, serving as the voice of the city. That music was brass band music.

An upcoming documentary (in development) titled ‘Brass Roots: The Untold History of New Orleans Brass Bands‘ focuses on the history of New Orleans brass band music, and it looks terrific. Check out the trailer below. Details follow in the full post.

X-Men: First Class Theatrical Trailer

This latest trailer for X-Men: First Class is all kinds of awesome. We get a much better look at some main cast showing off their mutant powers.

I am still waiting to see Kevin Bacon’s character, Sebastian Shaw, showcasing his powers. The trailers released so far have only shown us Bacon’s grinning face. I’ll probably have to wait until I see the movie in order to get a glimpse of Sir Bacon’s mutant abilities. :<

Corpse Bride Cosplay

The photos below look like they could be promotional poster art for some sort of Corpse Bride Broadway play. Absolutely stunning!

You might recognize the Corpse Bride cosplayer, Irene aka Malro-Doll, from the Team Rocket cosplay post I published a while back. Yup! Same girl! What a pro.
