Came across this one while browsing one of my favorite online artist, Chamba. The dude has skillz unparalleled. I’ve seen this piece he did before, and it has always made me laugh. I came across it again today so I figured I might as well throw it up here. It’s so good. I want to map an entire wall in my office with it.
This art piece is leaving me in a sad state because I know such an amazing concept will never be brought to life. Well, someone COULD do it, but it would have to be for free and I am 99% sure every one of the companies these mascots represent would be sending a megaton of cease and desist letters to the creator.
The art style is pretty sweet. Inspiring to say the least. Makes me want to break out the ol’ dusty drawing book.
Created by Lysol-Jones, the piece is officially titled “Extra Value Combo Alpha”.
Microsoft is holding a charity auction of select Xbox Consoles that range from poorly airbrushed celebrity portraits on the side of the consoles to this awesome 3D piece of Master Chief TOTALLY destroying an Xbox. The case work was done by Richard Taylor, who works for WETA, the Peter Jackson movie effects and production company.
In my opinion, Xbox should have just commissioned 20 variations of this or perhaps other iconic Xbox game characters. Who the eff is honestly dieing to get a Kim Kardashian airbrushed portrait on an Xbox 360? Bitch had sex with Ray J…. nuff said.

The world is not short on awesome Metroid cosplayers. Just Google search Samus cosplay and the results speak for them selves. But I have yet to see a Samus costume with great helmet piece. That’s the part that always seems lacking in one way or another. Spotted on deviant, I found this Samus helmet that is inspiring to say the least.
I got a kick out of this artwork piece found on Deviant. This horrific drawing based off of the iconic promo image of the famous Studio Ghibli film, My Neighbor Totoro. You can see the original image below in which this awesome art piece is based off of.
I am doing a little Bioshock 2 cosplay of my own for this year’s upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. Upon researching for good tutorials or examples of similar work, I found this awesome Bioshock 2 (video game) ‘Big Sister’ costume / cosplay (call it what you will depending on your level or nerdyness). The costume is a modeled after one of the most terrifying bosses in the game who. Amazing work. Great job ‘dearS-girl’.
I posted a few pictures below, but make sure you click the link below the photos to jump to the artists full costume gallery.
Motion comics usually don’t impress me all that much. Sometimes they are cool to watch because you get hear some decent voice talent narrating the comic to you, but the motion itself always seems to distract me because it looks so half-assed. The upcoming Iron Man: Extremis motion comic appears to be changing the game a bit with some real animation incorporated into it’s presentation. Sure it’s still pages taken from the comic and tweened, but there is also some real nice looking 3D models thrown into the mix. It’s still not perfect, but it’s a step in the right direction that deserves some attention.
