For my second San Diego Comic-Con (2009), I wanted to step my cosplay game up and at the time I was heavily into Left 4 Dead. I thought it was the BEST GAME EVER. So I thought to myself “what would be the most unusual costume I could do, that most likely no other con attendees would do?” The tank from Left 4 Dead was my answer.
The costume was an intense labor of love and took about 3 months to finish. Due to the immense size and weight, I could only wear the costume at night. I tried once to wear it during the day, but I was overwhelmed with sweat and fatigue. I lost 10lbs that con, which I attribute to wearing my Tank costume.
Not to sound pretentious, but I still look at my Tank costume to this day and feel inspired. The costume is not 100% perfect. I see a lot of flaws in it, but for a first attempt, I think I did a hell of a good job.
